Dr. Stella Major, Associate Professor of Family Medicine in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar (WCM-Q), describes the inter-professional education approach taken during a pilot collaboration between WCM-Q and Qatar University. Dr. Major and co-workers brought together medicine and pharmacy students to develop care plans for simulated diabetes patients. Students appeared to have strong positive attitudes to inter-professional learning, and medical students in particular became clearer about their role in inter-professional situations.
